It appears by Captain Hannah's account that he did not Give Credit for the money to his Company at winchester Nor has he Charged it in his Act. I have Give Credit for that money Received of General Butler So that I am to have Credit for it. I understand Captain Hannah he had Received it or I Should have Charged it in my account, the had Charged the money for the Bounty to the Soldiers and a months pay to the Officers Amounting to 319 Dollars and the money paid to the Soldiers in July on the Ohio except a Small Mistake which he paid to the Sinic, and the money Advanced to his Company in May at winchester he gave no Credit for, as it was paid by Captain James Stephens. The Soldiers are Charged with it you will Se by the pay Roles that money was two Dollars and ten Cent to the privates and 3 and 00 to a Sirgant; The money on the Ohio was one dollar to a private and a Dollar and a third to a Sergeant or Corporal, this Sum you I expect will find Charged to the Soldiers which will Convince you I am not Mistaken Captain Hannah had but 4½ men when they were paid in Winchester, and No Corporals the money paid that time was 2 Dollars and 10 Cents a a private and 3 8/8 to a Sergeant, Which makes the money I am to have Credit for 166 Dollars and 00.
