To all Persons to whom these Presents shall come Greeting KNOW YE, that I, Thomas Boyd of the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania by these Presents, do constitute and appoint [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] my true and lawful Attorney, with full power and [undecipherable] in [undecipherable] [undecipherable] to me in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents, by [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Hare — The receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained sold remised, release, quit-claim, transferred and assigned and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell remise, release, quit-claim, transfer, and allign to the last aforesaid [undecipherable] their [undecipherable] heirs and assigns forever, all the right, title, interest, property, claim and demand which I now have, and all the right, title, interest, claim and demand which I, my heirs, executors or administrators, at any time hereafter may have to all the land which I am entitled to, or that all or any part, parcel or other lands at any time hereafter be entitled to from the Congress of the United States of America: And Also all the lands which I am entitled to from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for services aforesaid, or by virtue of Any Act or acts of the legislature of the said commonwealth, for my Services as aforesaid, performed in the Armies of the State of Pennsylvania, or of the United States of America, for and during the war with Great Britain and in every part and parcel thereof — And all such pay, sum or sums of money, arrearages of clothing, rations, warrants, bounties, premiums, commutations and other benefits forever due to me for my Services as aforesaid, for any Supplies rendered to the United States or to any one, Single, troop, in behalf, receipt, [undecipherable] and upon the same terms, ways and means that I have hereby granted and alligned unto and to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, for ever. And I the said Thomas Boyd DG, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and alligns hereby covenant and agree to and with the said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns, that I [undecipherable] and [undecipherable] [undecipherable] my heirs, executors, administrators or alligns shall and will at any time or times hereafter, at the request, costs and charges of the said [undecipherable] his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, make, seal and execute, or cause or procure to be made, Seal and executed, all and every such further and other lawful and reasonable assurances, conveyances, releases and alliences in the law whatsoever, for the perfect granting, conveying, remiting, releasing, transferring and alligning of the Singular, the above granted and alligned premises unto the said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] have or which I the said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] my heirs, executors, or administrators or any of them, may at any time hereafter have, of, in, or to the same, or any part or parcel of the premises hereby granted and alligned — and to and to every part and [undecipherable] thereof — his heirs and alligns, to the only proper use and behoof of the said [undecipherable] his heirs and alligns for ever, as by him or their counsel, Reasonably the law, shall be reasonably advised, devised or required: And I the Said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Thomas Boyd — do hereby appoint the said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Hare — my true and lawful attorney irrevocably, to ask, demand, Sue for, and otherwise receive and recover, but for the Sale and Disposition of the Said — [undecipherable] his heirs and alligns for ever, from the United States and from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania all and every my Just proportion of the lands and warrants for the lands aforesaid, in his own name or names — And also to demand and receive all such pay, Sum or Sums of money, for arrearages of clothing, rations, commutation, bounty, premium, compensation, or otherwise howsoever, due to me as aforesaid, and upon receipt thereof to pass any requisite receipt or acknowledgment, and to do all acts and things relating to the Same, as fully as I might have done before do so respecting the Same: And I, the said [undecipherable] [undecipherable] do hereby bind and oblige myself, my Executors, heirs, administrators, and assigns, to ratify and confirm, and grant to and with the heirs [undecipherable] [undecipherable] executors, Administrators and alligns to Save and keep harmless from all cost, trouble or damage in obtaining or procuring a grant or grants for the land aforesaid, or by any matter, cause or means whatsoever relating thereto.
