Respecting the Repairs they require, &c — but have not yet Received your Order on that head — Capt Brickell & [undecipherable] has Accepted the appointment [undecipherable] the Military Oath yesterday, a Copy of which together with Triplicates Receipts for [undecipherable] hundred I have herewith Inclosed, Capt [undecipherable] says he waits your Answer to his letter before he Accepts his Appointment — Capt Cass in his letter of the first Instant Informs me, that Complaints, [undecipherable] Arnson, half Raven, Big Tree, together with one hundred other Indians, were then at Fort Frank- lin to Receive the Indian Goods, then in the hands of Lieut. [undecipherable] — I have not heard of Capt Baldwin [undecipherable] from his [undecipherable] Fort Franklin on his way to the [undecipherable] Town Therefore Conclude he has Returned by the way of [undecipherable] nah — a few days ago two Boat Loads of [undecipherable] & [undecipherable] for Fort Franklin, the Supply together with that formerly then will I believe amount to the full Quantity Ordered I have just Received your favor of the 18 Ultimo, the Ammunition is not yet forwarded to [undecipherable] [undecipherable], but Shall be forwarded tomorrow or next day. I shall Contract for 30 Boats in addition to 30 formerly — [undecipherable] — them to be delivered in may [undecipherable] Can suitable for falling Lumber to be delivered immediately as you direct — the Pay Master has transmitted me two thousand dollars in Post notes for the purpose of Receiving Cap^t Biggs & Crawford Companies, of which I Shall Inform them immediately by Express to their [undecipherable] Rendezvous &c. &c. the Pay Master has also transmitted from [undecipherable] dollars on Bank Notes, which he says is to be delivered to Front [undecipherable] of the [undecipherable] [undecipherable] same day — this [undecipherable] I Shall expect him here tomorrow or next day — The Stockade will be Completed [undecipherable] days, or in a few days, two Guns Mounted, in one of the Block Houses, the Other Work is going on at all possible Ex- pedition — I am in hopes that [undecipherable] & Cap^t [undecipherable] detachment will be ready next week; but I am Under the Neces- sity of Requesting more Money, I have already been Obliged to borrow five hundred dollars — the Amount of this whole Charge shall be transmitted as soon as the work is finished Several of the People Employed cannot wait any longer The 25^th of this Month 10 of the Boats will be deliver'd at this Post, if they are wanted I must then be paid for — You will please to advise Sir there is very little Camp Equipage & Stationary on hand at this Post not one Camp Kettle nor [undecipherable] Tent to make them — I am Sir Your Ob^t [signed] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Gen^l Henry Knox
