[Circular] Fort Washington April 2. 1792. Sir, Wishing to spare the Diffusion of human Blood, when it may be done consistently with the Rights & interests of the Nation; and moved by that Humanity which distinguishes his Name, The President of the United States, has determined to give the misled & Deluded Tribes of Indians a last Opportunity to save themselves, from imminent & Substantial Ruin. To this Purpose, Measures have been dispatched to their several [undecipherable] with Overtures of Accommodation, and not a slight intimation in every [undecipherable].
