Dear Sir
I am this Moment rec'd with yours of the 8th Inst. not a little Surpris'd at its Contents. Indeed I beg leave to trouble you with a Copy of the Parkers receipt for the Bags & other Articles which I forwarded at Same time to Col Boone— also of Sam'l Mackin's Receipt for the Amount of Carriage of the same which I had heard Mr. Boone had paid— the Reg of Sheets for good [undecipherable] and the latter acknowledges the receipt of; the Bags must I think have been such by the Same App't will you here; on good as [undecipherable: probable reading "further"] — Inquires about them at Fort Washington — Mr. Boone to whom I have this Day written will give you on his part Every Information necessary to come at a Knowledge of this Mistake, which is the lightest [undecipherable] or yet Induced the [undecipherable] in. should they [undecipherable] be at Limestone he has my Directions to forward them to you Immediately, greater Dispatch could not have been made in Executing the order after of Instruction came to hand.
