On the 6 instant I forwarded for you by Charles Anderson a Sizable bundle of Army Stores agreeable to your Request, and at same time a Box containing two Reams of Writing Paper, I wrote you at same time by Anderson informing thereof but as this will go by Post I thought it would be proper to inform you again thereof as I expect this will reach you before Anderson's waggon can arrive —
I enclose a letter for Mr Clairnothy Clark to Mr Hodgson, the latter I wish you to forward to visit Washington for being present & as he is to remain there as has been refused him but I expect you can Ascertain and if he returns all Mr H to be for thee letter can read him there — I wish you to return it here by Post or Otherwise — Pray if it is in your power let us hear something of Mr Hodgson — My family are receiving Anxious to hear from him. And General Knox, We often inquire of one another.
