[Copy letter to Secretary at War]
Lancaster March 13th 1792
Sir,
I deferred answering your letter of the 25th Ulto untill I could inform you that the fifty Rifles had been forwarded to Major Craig at Pittsburg, and it was not untill this day an Opportunity presented —
They were Committed to the care of Charles Anderson who may be depended on for their safe delivery, as no waggons loaded altogether for the public offered, and I presumed the expence of the Carriage would be the same in either case, if I have done wrong pray tell me so — Anderson being scarce of Cash 12 Dollars were Advanced him, which is noted on his Rect which is inclosed, and Also on a duplicate inclosed to Major Craig —
I also inclose a Copy of my letter to Major Craig sent by the Waggoner
