War Department, January 5 1792 Sir I enclose duplicates of my letters to the lieutenants of the counties of Allegany, Westmoreland and Washington counties in Pennsylvania and to the lieutenant of Ohio County in Virginia — The originals were transmitted to you on the 20^th ultimo per post, and you were requested to forward the three latter by express — If you are satisfied, that the dispatches will certainly reach the respective lieutenants you need not send the enclosed by an express — You will however forward them by the first direct conveyance.
