Sir,
I enclose you letters to the lieutenants of Alleghany, Westmoreland, and Washington counties of Pennsylvania, and for the lieutenant of Ohio County in Virginia. the three latter of which you will forward by express.
You will urge the completion of the block house mentioned in my letter of the 16th inst.
Captain Caps marched from hence, for Fort Pitt, on the 26 instant, with two commissioned officers and one hundred and eighteen non commissioned and privates.
