Description

From Fort Hamilton, Armstrong reports to Hodgdon at Fort Washington that he received letter from General directing him to forward to Fort Jefferson certain articles of clothing which were taken forward by Mr Masralick, who was given two horses and a supply of Indian corn. Mr Kitchel says he does not intend to let Hodgdon have anymore. Armstrong says his building is complete; found a strong horse to supply garrison with wood. Bastions on doors will be sent. Injured the bottom of the flat in launching. Cannot take him out of the water to make repairs. Still remains at Fort Washington a quantity of his company's clothing packed in casks; Armstrong wishes to open them himself; asks Hodgdon to send some private baggage; needs some files he cannot do without. Asks for window glass.
