By Captain Story I received a letter from the General directing me to forward to Fort Jefferson certain Articles of Cloathing as mentioned in a former letter from you. They were taken forward by Mr Mahelick who I furnished with two Horses and a Supply of Indian Corn. Mr Kitchel was here a few days Since and informed me he did not intend being gone from any man. My buildings being now completed and having found a Stray Horse that will answer the purpose of Supplying the Garrison with Wood I have no further use for the three you will receive them by the [undecipherable] and as soon as Mr Wood has finished the [undecipherable] & made two or three Doors, which will be in a few days he shall be sent in also. He should [undecipherable] with Captains Story, had me not unfortunately injured the Matter of the Flat in launching her and untill Captain Story begins I cannot take the [undecipherable] of the Water to make the necessary repairs & I have no person to whom I can intrust that business but himself.
