A few days since I had the pleasure of a Compt Visit from a letter from Capt Pike. dated, the 19th of September last in which he informs me that he is in perfect health and requests [strikethrough: that] I would advance to you, on his account, fifty or [strikethrough: twenty] dollars, sending an Idea that he since receives two or three Months pay.
