Sir,
It is no longer doubtful that the two companies about to march, to wit, Captain Miller's and Captain Bass's, will be unable to defend the Ohio this winter, as neither of them have yet marched.
I request therefore you would have suitable quarters prepared for their reception, upon a comfortable, but oeconomical Scale. Besides, the said company officers there will be a stranger to provide for. You will obtain their fuel and straw upon the best terms, as you will have cash to buy for them.
