This will be handed you by my friend Mr John Davis a Mercht of this Place who has carried on a Buisness here for Some Years with Reputation and Advantage, he & his Connexions have extended many Courtesies to me; if you will take him by the Hand with you it shall be gratefully rememberd, by, I believe he wishes to do Something to Serve you, You May confide in his Industry Sobriety & Integrity as I personally vouch for may [undecipherable] for him to do here [undecipherable] a flourishing Country I am interested in whatever Advantages May accrue to this part of the World he held a good Deal of Valuable Property in this Vicinity.
