Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth Robins Widow of John Robins late of York County in the State of Virginia, do hereby constitute, nominate & appoint Peter Manifold of New Town in the State of New York my lawful attorney for me & in my name & for my Proper use & behalf to collect & receive from the Commissioner of the army accounts what ever sum or sums of money may be now due to me in right of my deceased husband aforesaid late [undecipherable] of the fourth regiment of Dragoons of the United States & finally to settle all accounts now depending in the premises & receipts for the same to give in the same manner as if I was personally present & I do hereby confirm all the actings doings of my attorney in the premises given under my hand & [seal] this twentieth day of September 1791.
