Your favor of the 20 Instant is this moment come to hand, together with dispatches for the next Invest which shall be forwarded Tomorrow by Lieut Hutchbon, by whom I am sending a principle part of the powder & lead, and as many of the Shells as can Conveniently be put on Board. —
In your letter of the 18 Instant you Refer me to an Order for Surrendering the Magazine &c. to Turnbull Marmie but as that order has not yet been presented to me, Consequently the possession not given up to Turnbull & Marmie and as the Buildings now Occupied as Magazine and Store Houses have been Erected at the Expence of the United States, would it not be proper to Remove the Buildings, or Sell the Materials, Agreeable to an Act of Assembly of this State passed I believe in the Year 1778 —
