Sir. — Instead of the 300. Militia who were expected from Kentucky, 51 only have arrived: them I have supplied with those Pack Horses compleat. — Eight Common Tents. Eight Camp Kettles Eight Dressing Hatchets three lines Dolper. & one Dozn with a few of their trine arms. are out of order, otherwise they [strikethrough: they] were compleat. —
Capt Buel has not yet arrived. I have not heard any thing from Mr Bow yet. —

Twelve our pack Horses, which are fit for Duty. [undecipherable]
Nines, I have now on hand. — I wish to receive documents from You as soon as possible concerning them, & likewise concerning a certain description of Horses branded U.S. which Horses are claimed & kept by Capt Barthe. Barthe offers (indeed gives) a Dollar ₵ [undecipherable] &

Lieut. Perkins has this Day set Men to purifying the Chimnies in the Garrison & nailing Cleats from the Chimnies down the Roofs to the Eves — which will answer very end of Indians, if the Savages should happen to catch a fire —
