Sir,
By the post of yesterday I received your favor of the 22d Instant, which I submitted to the President of the United States.
The business in Georgia requires instant attention. Wherefore you have Assistants in whose Skill and judgment you can entirely confide, the President of the United States consents, that they shall go forwards to commence the operation, on the express condition that as Soon as you can be Spared from your present work, that you repair to Georgia, in order to correct, finish and Sanction what may have been done.
As not a moment more time can be lost before your deputies, let me let them instantly repair to this Office, with their Instruments and they Shall receive instructions and a necessary Supply of money. A vessel, captain Burrows, Sails for Georgia from this port.
