Sir
The Post this day brought me your Letter of the 30 ultimo — I have not time to answer it fully by this Post, but I say by the next — Suffice it to say generally that I am well pleased with your conduct — believing sincerely that every part of my business under your management, is attended to, as the importance of it demands — [strikethrough: but] I am glad you have got part of the Price of the [undecipherable] Needles — those very good, and at seven Shillings per pair — the articles you mention to be forwarded have not yet arrived but I conclude they will shortly — On the subject of the Belles must refer you to my last [undecipherable]
Major Craig will receive the Wine and comply with your engagements respecting the [undecipherable]
I thank you kindly for the attention you have paid to my Money concerns, and for your inclosed Statement, which I believe to be perfectly right — of this more hereafter — your Letters are too valuable to me to be either Destroyed or mislaid — I shall preserve them all — and when
I am a little more at leisure, you shall if you request it have copies of the whole —
In haste — must conclude, with wishing you health and happiness and subscribing myself — your most Obedient Servant
Samuel Hodgson
P. M. G.
Meyer is well, and I hope will continue so, he appears to be determined to make an Impost [undecipherable] — I wish you would enclosed his Wifes Letters —
