War department,
June 30th 1793.
Gentlemen.
I have had the honor to receive your letter of the 23rd and 30th inst: which is highly satisfactory.
From an expedition, so appointed, and actuated with such zeal and gallantry, much may be expected: and, I sincerely pray God, that it may be entirely successful.
The regulars and levies intended for the main expedition, are all in motion forwards, and a great proportion have for some time since arrived at Fort Pitt, and have partly been stationed for the defence of the frontiers, while others have descended to Fort Washington.

I have the honor to be,
Gentlemen,
Your most obedient Serv
