War Department, June 26, 1791 Sir, By the returns made to this office by the Commi[ss]ioner of Loans for the State of Kentucky, it appears that Lieutenant Garret Hin^ckson an Invalid Pensioner is only entitled by his certificate to a pension at the rate of five Dollars per month In your return dated 30 Jan^ry 1790 and transmitted to this office, said Hinckson was inserted at the rate of 10 Dollars per month, which makes an obvious difference — and as the official returns of the respective States are the file, based on which a letter from this office is to be formed I must thank... to examine this case, and to inform me as soon as possible.
