Pay Office Philad^a 10^th June 1791 Sir In pursuance of directions from the Secy of War I have transmitted you by the hand of M^r Joseph Branch the Sum of 331⁴⁵/100 Dollars, for the purpose of paying the arrearage of pay due the attachment of Artillery Stationed at West Point, from the date of their enlistments, to the 31 Decem^r. last, agreeably to the enclosed Schedule — I request you take Duplicate Receipts from the Men in the form prescribed, and transmitte me one of them, under cover to the Secy of War as soon as possible — it being the wish of the Secy of War to pay the Men regularly, he has further desired me to request you to Muster the Detachment from the date of last Muster (the 21: Aug^t last) to the present time.
