[Copy] Niagara 20^th May 1791 Dear Sir Since I had the honor of putting you last a good deal of Indian Mimicry at Mussalfa Creek has been in agitation which re-quired the Chiefs to attend, for me to attend their Counsel, the proceedings of which I have the honor to inclose herewith. about three weeks ago a Colonel Proctor arrived here accompanied by a Tradesman called [undecipherable] and I take, with some of the Indians that adhere to him, they represented about the Middle District Church and have brought a number of Letters Packets from Washington to the Secretary of War addressed to different Nations of Indians. Prior to the Negotiations I have yet not seen so voluminous and Colonel Gordon receives a Copy. I fear their contents are by no means the best. Met Shall be sent to the President which will be in human Re- Col. Proctor's instructions are for, I fear, certainly, I pray to which he is to take the Negotiations for their up to the Ampantion to the Mohawks [*]
