I have this day began to pay the Invalid
Pensioners & have met with a circumstance which I think proper to inform you of viz Wareham Emons applied for his pension & produced a Certificate from the State signed John Lucas purporting that he is intitled to eighteen shillings equal to three Dolls pr month whereas I received yr list of Pensioners found him stated at only Doll 1 Month I informed him of this disagreemt & applied to Mr Lucas who has since examined into the matter knows me on the subject an extract of which I now inclose you as also a copy of the Certificate in the possession of said Warren I shall be glad of your directions in this case — with great respect I am Sr yr most
