I have being appointed by the Secretary for the depart
=ment of war to take charge of the ordnance, military and
quarter master's stores and other public property which may
be transported to or deposited at Pittsburgh for the military
forces in the western department, do solemnly swear, that
I will support the constitution of the United States; and that
I will faithfully execute the trust committed to my charge
in my aforesaid capacity and such other public duties in
the aforesaid department in Pittsburgh as shall be assigned me,
either by the said Secretary or the officer commanding the
troops of the United States in the [undecipherable: fron]tier department.
