Sir,

     I have received yours of the 31st undecipherable
 Colonel Procter must be mortified about the defective trunnions of the howitzers as they were cast under his immediate inspection

It is necefsary to devise some modes to strengthen the trunnions. I hope he will do it. It may be done by making iron false trunnions in the manner we did during the undecipherable for undecipherable the trunnions of which has been knocked off_the expence of the shells as well as the pieces dictate that every expedient be revised to make the howitzers answer which you have_They let an exact report be tranfmitted of their difats_

     The pay for the completion of the last year shall be forwarded by the Officers now here tourt Doctor Carmichael and Captains Mills_
     Your reply relatively to Colonel Sproat shall in confidence be submitted to the President_

The undecipherable other and other Chiefs of the six Nations are here and will soon return_I do not imagine they will wait for the Cornplanter_
