Wilkesbarre, Jan^y 28. 1791 Sir I have transmitted my Vouchers to your office for a settlement but they were incomplete and did not fully account for the monies charged on the books against me. The charge of May 1777. was duly paid to the 2 Regiments for which it was designed. The Receipts from the proper Officers I can show — The charge of Sept^r [undecipherable] 1776. of monies designated [questioned] for the [undecipherable] companies also went to their use. I can show — and for their Subsistance — while here after the money expended. I have justly a ballance in my favor — which I can evidence by entries mad at the time — I find there is a stoppAge 45 [undecipherable] I know not for what [undecipherable] it be that hitherto I have not sufficiently shown how I disposed of the monies [just] mentioned.
