You will therefore not find yourselves any ways restrained in your preparations for want of pecuniary assistance. “I am persuaded that you will endeavour by/ by every possible exertion, to make adequate preparations both in the Commissary & Quarter Master’s line for the proposed expedition. “On your making adequate and seasonable supplies[,] the whole success of the expedition may depend. You will see therefore the urgent necessity of every thing being in perfect readiness.”
