I, Alexander McGillivray, Agent to the Creek nation of Indians, and Brigadier General in the service of the United States, do solemnly swear to bear true allegiance to the said United States of America, and to serve them honestly and faithfully against all their enemies or opposers whomsoever, and to observe and obey the orders of the President of the United States of America, and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the articles of war, and the true intent and meaning of the secret articles of the treaty of peace, made and concluded between the United States of America, and the Creek Nation of Indians.
