“It would be desirable if you could establish some mode of knowing what is passing from time to time at the British Posts. It seems quite probable, should England go to war with Spain, that the former would attack New Orleans and the Floridas - and in this event it seems possible an attack may be made from the British Posts - I mention these ideas in confidence.”

Thanks for "break[ing] up the next of vagabond Indians near Scioto" and encouraged Harmar to pursue them until they are eliminated. Discussed methods for transporting and obtaining provisions. Knox informs Harmar of McGillivray's impending arrival at Philadelphia and also mentions potential frontier ramifications of war between England and Spain.
