The Naval Officer at Marblehead having left the World that Office is vacant — my Friend and Brother Genl Glover, wishes to fill it — I believe the General, I mean the President, would appoint Genl Glover, even without Solicitation — but it will not be amiss, for his Friends to mention him; I presume there will be no Competition, if any, few however, I must request your friendly Attention to this Subject, as I am Sure a word of yours will have its full weight — I need not add, that you, much Oblige you Sincere & affectionate
