[undecipherable] State of Connecticut f^a Comp^tr Office: Hartford 28^th Jan^y 1792. Upon examineing the papers and Records of this late Property, and of this Office, it appears that Capt. Robert Lewis & Col. Charles Wills [undecipherable] Regiment are owed £500, or therefor for raising his company to throw on the continental [undecipherable] in the establishment of [undecipherable] in that draws a thousand to [undecipherable] Col. [undecipherable] accounted for — and it no where appears that the Children of the S^d Capt Robert Lewis have petitioned the Assembly of Connecticut either themselves or by any other Person for a settlement, or drew [undecipherable] Years half pay agreeable to the [undecipherable] been [undecipherable] — but that they have never any payment from this State on that Account.
