We the undersigned Inhabitants of Jefferson County on the waters of Brashear's Creek do Certify, that in the latter end of March last the Indians took a Negro running, [undecipherable] the property of [undecipherable] Long's, [undecipherable] giving him at work at the said Long's in his field, on Clear Creek and [undecipherable] of Brashear's Creek —
That on [undecipherable] Creek in April the Indians killed two Men at work in their field —
That in May two Boys were made Prisoners from Sinclair's Station on the head of Drennan's Lick Creek —
That on the 28 Instant a party of Indians fired on a Company of [undecipherable] Persons [undecipherable] Creek as they were returning from a meeting, killed one man on the Spot and took a young woman Prisoner, who they carried about two miles and then [undecipherable] & helped her —
That on the 25 Instant as a Company were bringing home the Corps of the man and [undecipherable], they were alarmed by their Dogs and Sent a party out to reconnoiter who discovered the Tracks of Some Indians
