It is not consistent with the arrangements of the present year, to pay your salary up to the 1st of July next. I have therefore deducted from your account the six months charged from January to the 1st July 1790 — the Balance being thirty six Dollars, and the expense account of 1490/100 Dollars is paid, pursuant to your order to the bearer Mr Olney
