Boats (one of which contained an Officer &
eight men of the United States troops) landed
about nine miles above Limestone, and
about 12 OClock was fired on by a party of
Indians supposed to be fifteen or twenty
in number, three Boats made their escape
without damage, the other containing

Enemy, four of those persons were killed
