Observe what you say relative to the maps. I proposed selling you, and that if they answer the description you have given, you will certainly take them, at the price I mentioned. You may depend they are Des Barros entire & perfect Charts of the Sea Coast of North America, done in the most elegant manner for the use of the royal Navy of Great Britain. — And as I am satisfied they will not only answer but exceed your expectations, I have sent them by Capt. Barnard, and inclosed is his receipt therefor. I think I ought not to run the whole risque; but leave that to your generosity, (in case any accident should happen). If they should not suit, ask the favour that you will take Charge of them, till you hear from me; as I will not sell them under 120 dollars; unless you purchase them.
