West Point March 12^th 1790 Sir, I have but this moment received your Letter of 5^th Instant by M^r Moss— Every thing agreeable to your directions that we have have shall be in readiness as soon as possible— There is not a sufficiency of Musket Cartridge Paper for to make the number of rounds which you have Ordered to be Carried Loose, as we have but [undecipherable] Quire on hand— and all the Musket Ball is mixed and the most of them is One oz Balls— and I have no mould to Cast them in; to the size wanted as it should be done— neither is there any prove flannel Cartridges for fix or threepounders— Every thing else shall be ready— and I will have One hundred rounds more of Musket Cartridges for each Man— and One hundred rounds for each piece of Ordnance ready In Case you should think proper to have them delivered with the rest I am Sir— The Honorable Major Gen Knox Secretary at War—
