Charles White to Robert Prise No. 69902 4th Regt 1782} $1.10 Recd a Certificate for the above Pat allowed In Shaffer Apl 19th 1797 MA Pa Know all Men by these Presents, that I Charles White late Soldier in the Pennsylvania Line in the service of the United State of America, for a valuable and full consideration to me in hand paid, at or before the execution hereof, by Robert Prise the receipt whereof, is hereby acknowledged, have, and by these presents do grant, bargin, sell, release, transfer and assign unto him, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. All the right, title, interest, property, claim and demand, which I now have, or which my heirs, executors, or administrators, may at a any time hereafter, have to all and singular the lands, pay arrearages of pay, cloathing, rations, rewards, bounties, gratuities, prize-monies and other demands, due and owing to [blank] from the United States, or from any particular State. And I do hereby for my heirs, executors and administrators consent and agree, to and with the said [undecipherable] Prise his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, that my heirs, executors, and administrators, shall, and will, at any time, or times hereafter, at the request, cost, and charge to him, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, make seal, execute and deliver, or cause, or procure to be made, sealed, executed and delivered, all, and every such reasonable act and acts, thing and things, conveyance and conveyances, assurance and assurances in the law, for the perfect granting, which now have, or which [blank] heirs, executors, or administrators, may at any time hereafter have, of in and to all and singular, the lands and other, the primises hereby granted and assigned unto him, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever, as by his, or their counsel, learned in the law, shall be reasonably advised, devised, or required. And I do hereby make, constitute and appoint the said [undecipherable] Prise my true and lawful attorney irrevocably, to ask, demand, recovered receive, of and from the United States, or from any particular State, or from any person, or persons, acting by, from, or under their, or either of their Authoritys, all and singular the lands, pay, arrearages of pay, cloathing, rations, rewards, bounties, gratuities, prize-moneis and other demands due, owing, payable and belonging to me or detained from me by any menner of ways or means whatsoever, and, upon receipt hereof, to execute and deliver sufficient and requisite receipts, releases, and acquaintances for the same, and by good and sufficient conveyances and assurances in the law, to grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm the said lands to the purchaser or purchaser thereof, his, her, or their heirs and assigns forever . And also to sell, assign and transfer, all certificates and registered, or other stock, now or hereafter, standing in my name in the books of the treasury of the Unites States, or of any perticular State, for or in consequence of my services as aforesaid with power of attorney, or attornies under him, for the purposes aforesaid, to make and substitute, and do all lawful acts requisite, for effecting the premises as fully and effectualy to all intents and purposes, as might or could do, by being personally present, and to have done the same, hereby allowing ratifying and confirming all, and whatsoever my said attorney, or his substitute or substitutes, shall, or may do, or cause to be done therein, by virtue hereof.
