But previous to their transfer in my office and transmittal to the Honorable Board of final Authority I am of opinion your attendance will be requisite on behalf of the State. [undecipherable] it will probably be but a few weeks and it's affecting of obtaining information essential to his interest — I have no doubt but you will early commence your Journey for this City. You will probably join me in the opinion of the necessity of your bringing forward for presentation all the Disbursments by the State during the late War, whether for General or Particular [undecipherable] or whether authorised or unauthorised by the Acts of Congress. It will also be necessary that you produce the accounts of Cleus, Latimer and other Pay Masters of the Militia in order to ascertain the time of monies being put into their hands for that I presume must be the data for the liquidation of such part of their disbursments as is chargeable to the Union and not for the commencement [undecipherable] I am with respect Your Obd.
