[strikethrough: I have] Agreeably to your directions I have this day delivered into the hands of Levy Pease, Proprietor of the Mail Stage, for the Eastward, [strikethrough: the Sum of] Four hundred and thirty dollars, [strikethrough: being for one Months pay of the Officers] which sum he has engaged to deliver to Capt.
