Wilmington Dec^r 30^th 1789 Sir Your favor of the 23^d instant, and sundry Papers sent therewith, came safe to hand, and agreeably to your request I now transmit the accounts rendered by M^r Yeates, late Paymaster of the Delaware Regiment. Not being furnished with a Clerk, and receiving but a small salary from the State, I cannot undertake to Copy them; but send them as they came into my hands. If the State should have occasion for for Copies of any of the Accounts or receipts you will, no doubt, be so obliging as to furnish them. I observe Col^o Pope has settled with old Yeates for 592 dollars the second from George Read Esq^r Lieu^t James Campbell received the 200 dollars from George Read Esq^r which are charged to Cap^t Anderson, and has accounted for them in a Recruiting Account, N^o 2 rendered to John White late district Commissioner, except a balance of 19 7/90 dollars, which he acknowledges as a debt due to the State.
