Sir,
Your favor of the 23 instant, and sundry Papers sent therewith, came duly to hand, and agreeably to your request I now transmit the accounts rendered by Mr Yeates, late Paymaster of the Delaware Regi[ment] —
from the State; I cannot undertake to copy them; but send them as they are. If the State have occasion for copies of any of the accounts or receipts, you will, no doubt, be so obliging as to furnish them.
I observe that Col Pope has accounted with the quotes for the 392 dollars he received from George Read Esqr — Lieut James Campbell received the 26— dollars from George Read Esqr which are charg'd to Capt Andersons, and accounted for the same in a recurring account No 2, rendered to John White Esqr late District Commissioner; except a balance of 19 7/90 dollars which he acknowledges as a debt due to this State.
