War Office Dec.^r 16. 1789 Sir It is decided that Burbecks and Savages companies shall be recruited in Massachusetts — The rendezvous to be at Springfield — I find that no more vessels will this year go to Hartford — I am therefore under the necessity of shipping the Clothing for New Haven to M^r Elig Stansford by a vessel which will sail tomorrow morning — I have desired M^r Stansford to forward the Clothing to you at Hartford and that you will pay the transportation from New Haven to Hartford — I will thank you to transport the clothing to Springfield addressed to Cap^t Bryant — I ask pardon for the trouble I am constrained to give you. — I am Sir your most Obedient Servant H Knox Hon.^ble Jer.^h Wadsworth Esq^r.
