War Office December 14. 1789 Sir Presuming that some safe opportunity may offer from Richmond, I have enclosed a letter for Daniel Smith Esquire of Miro district on Cumberland river, - I request your Excellencys pardon for the trouble I may give, but the letter being of an important public nature I have ventured on your goodness.
