West Point Decemr 2d 1789 I now forward by the Bearer the Returns of Ordnance and Quarter Masters Stores for the Month of November 1789 – Enclosed is an acct of what articles I have taken out of the Store for public Use Since December 1788, and for what purposes they were for – I will thank the General to find me an Order by the Bearer for the delivery of them – I have stopped the getting of the additional twenty five Cords of Wood agreeable to your directions – Mr. Major is willing to stay here upon the conditions you mentioned – I am Sir [symbol for etc.] The Honorable Major Genl Knox Secretary at War —
