Know All Men by these Presents, That I, William Wade, Late Soldier, in the Pennsylvania Line,
in the Service of the United States of America, for a valuable and full Consideration to me in hand paid, at or before the Execution hereof, by Robert Price the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, HAVE, and by these Presents, DO grant, bargain, sell, release, transfer and assign unto him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns for ever, all the Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim and Demand which I have, or to which I, my Heirs, Executors or Administrators, may at any Time hereafter have, to all and singular the Lands, Pay, Arrearages of Pay, Clothing, Rations, Bounties, Gratuities, Prizes, or any other Due, or other Demands, due and owing to me, from the United States, or from any particular State. And I do hereby for my self, my Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, covenant, promise and agree, to and with him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, that I, my Heirs, Executors Administrators shall and will, at any Time or Times hereafter, upon the reasonable request of him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, make, seal, execute and deliver, or cause or procure to be made, sealed, executed and delivered, all and every such reasonable Act and Acts, Thing and Things, Conveyance and Conveyances, Assurance and Assurances in the Law, for the perfect granting, conveying, Releasing, transferring and assigning, all the Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim and Demand, which I now have, or which I, my Heirs, Executors or Administrators, may at any time hereafter have, of, to and in, all and singular, the Lands and other Demands, hereby mentioned; as the said [undecipherable], his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns for ever, at by his or their Counsel learned in the Law shall be reasonably advised, devised or required. And I do hereby make, constitute and appoint the said [undecipherable] or [undecipherable], my true and lawful Attorney, irrevocably, to ask, demand, recover and receive, of and from the United States, or from any particular State, or from any Person or Persons, acting by, from, or under them, or either of their Authority, all and singular, the Lands, Pay, Arrearages of Pay, Clothing, Rations, Bounties, Gratuities, Prizes, and all other Demands, dues sums, payable and belonging to me, or detained from me, by any Manner of Ways or Means whatsoever, and upon Receipt thereof, to execute and deliver sufficient and regular Receipts, Releases, and Acquittances for the same, and by good and sufficient Conveyances and Assurances in the Law to grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm the said Lands, to the Purchaser or Purchasers thereof, his, her, or their Heirs and Assigns for ever. And also to sell, assign and transfer all Certificates, and negotiate for other Stock, now or hereafter standing in [undecipherable] Name of some particular State, for or in Consideration of every Services as aforesaid, with Power or Attorney or Attorneys under him, for the Purposes aforesaid, to make, and Substitute, and the same again to revoke from time to time, with as full and ample a Power, Authority and Purposes, as I might or could do, being personally present, and to have done the same, hereby ratifying and confirming whatsoever the said Attorney and Substitute, or either, shall lawfully do, or cause to be done therein by Virtue hereof.
