An ACT providing for the Payment of the Invalid Pensioners of the United States.
BE it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Military Pensions which have been granted and paid by the States respectively, in pursuance of the Acts of the United States in Congress assembled, to the Invalids who were wounded and disabled during the late war, shall be continued and paid by the United States from the fourth day of March, 1789, for the Space of one year, under such regulations as the President of the United States may direct.

IN pursuance of the above recited law, information is hereby given to all the Invalid Pensioners upon the several States, the amount of whose annual or semi-annual pensions, from the fourth day of March, 1789, to the period to time, to which accounts respectively, to the original payments, for full or half pay, became a due by the act of March, to be transmitted direct hereto annexed and money and directed to the treasurer of the state in which such pensioners [undecipherable] in such form, and by such persons, as has heretofore in the states to publicly made or [undecipherable].
The evidences which have been or shall be made by the Secretary for the department of war, by the several States, of the pensions which have been granted and paid by them respectively, together with the vouchers herein required, be considered as the evidence whereon the payments shall be adjusted.
Applications for pensions not to be accompanied to the following form, to wit.
A. B. The certificate given by the State, certifying that the said pensioner is to sit and to [undecipherable] dollars per [undecipherable] in the following forms, to wit.
1st. An affidavit agreeable to the following form, to wit.
A. B. [undecipherable] before me one of the Justices for the [undecipherable] in the State of [undecipherable] and made oath that he is the Same A. B. to whom the original certificate in his possession was granted, of which the following is a copy, to wit
