Sir
The inclosed is an account of payments made by the Delaware State to sundry Soldiers for Depreciation on their pay which for a variety of reasons I have refused to admit to her credit in the Account Current with the United States. But as tis possible you may be possessed of some information which may obviate the difficulties and remove the objections I am ready to receive such communications as you may be inclined to make upon the subject previous to the passage of the account and report thereon to the Honble Board of Commissionrs.
I will also thank you to endeavo to procure the date of exchange of the late Lieut Harney this may probably be obtained from his Memorial to the Legislative Assembly or if not from that source some of his Relatives may perhaps be able to ascertain it
I wish also to be inform'd whether Captn. More has ever been called upon to account for the delivery of Certificates to the Delaware Regiment as I find a very considerable proportion of them were received by him and tis possible a part still remain in his possession or have been delivered to the Executive Authority of the State.
I am with Respect Sir
Your Obedt Servt
