Know all men by these presents That I of the Minister Late Sergeant in the fourth Pennsylvania Regiment in the Service of the United States and being entitled to Land by Vertue of a Resolve of Congress on that Case made and provided Have made Ordained Constituted and appointed John Nicholson of westmoreland County & State of Pennsylvania my true and Lawfull Attorney for me an in my name to Make Application to the Secretary for a Warrant for the Aforesaid Land, in Order to Enable the Gentleman appointer to Survey the Said Land, agreeable to appointment Giving and Harby Granting to my Said Attorny the power and authority to take posses and follow Such Legal Course for the Recovering Proving and Obtaining the Same as if I my Self was personally present Ratifying Allowing and Confirming whatever my Said Attorney Shall Lawfully do or Cause to be Done in or About the Execution of the same By Order of these presents Signed with my hand and Dated these hundred Order One thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty More
