J. Vanden Broeck who acted as one of the Chief Clerks in the Office of said Auditor, That on many occasions in the Stating & investigation of difficult & intricate Accounts, we have observed him to be accurate in his Statements, ready in his calculations, & assiduous in the business entrusted to him, & that from the whole of his conduct We believe him to be a capable & ready Accountant, & irreproachable in his Morals.
