West Point August 4 1789 39 Sir I now forward the Returns of Ordnance and Quarter Masters Stores for the month of July 1789– I have given Mr. Isaac Garrison an Account and Certificate for his delivery at this Garrison One hundred and fourteen Cords of Wood – he received six Bolts of Duck, agreeable to your letter of April 27th – There is now Thirty five Cords of Wood on hand – and if you should think proper to have any more laid in for the Winter, it will be best to give for it now before it takes a [undecipherable word, perhaps Rise] I am Sir [symbol for etc.] The Honorable Major Genl Knox Secretary at War –
